Huit stations de la Via Sacra se trouvent en République tchèque, en Bohême du Nord. L'église de pèlerinage de la Visitation de la Vierge Marie à Hejnice/Haindorf trouve son origine dans une légende mariale : une femme gravement malade et son enfant ont été miraculeusement guéris car le père de famille avait suivi l'invitation d'un ange et avait installé une image de la Vierge Marie sur un tilleul, fabriquée par un sculpteur de Zittau.
