Le château de Surenburg, un château d'eau dans le pays de Tecklenburg, se trouve à Riesenbeck, un quartier de Hörstel.
Il n'existe aucun document sur son origine. On suppose qu'il a été fondé en tant que résidence seigneuriale après la conquête de Bevergern par l'évêque de Münster en 1400. Il a été mentionné pour la première fois dans des documents en 1474 en tant que résidence des seigneurs de Langen. En 1612, il est passé par mariage aux seigneurs de Münster. En 1786, il a été acheté par le noble terrien Carl Heinrich Heereman von Zuydtwyck, originaire de Roermond aux Pays-Bas. Ses descendants, aujourd'hui représentés par Philipp Freiherr Heereman von Zuydtwyck, y résident encore aujourd'hui.
