Le château de Westerholt est un château d'eau dans le quartier de Westerholt à Herten, à la lisière de la forêt de Westerholt. L'édifice entouré de fossés est jusqu'à aujourd'hui le siège ancestral de la famille comtale von Westerholt, qui a été mentionnée pour la première fois par écrit ici en 1193 et qui s'est par la suite appelée « de Westerholt à Gysenberg ». Le château de Westerholt est, avec le château de Herten, l'une des plus importantes installations château dans l'ancien Vest Recklinghausen.
