Avec ses 177 km, l’Eder est le plus long affluent de la Fulda. L’Eder prend sa source sur l’Ederkopf dans les montagnes de Rothaar et coule principalement en direction du nord-est. À Edermünde-Grifte, la rivière se jette dans la rivière Fulda. La piste cyclable Ederauenradweg, longue de 180 km, longe l’Eder.
