El Eder, con sus 177 km, es el afluente más largo del Fulda. El Eder nace en el Ederkopf en el Rothaargebirge y fluye en su mayor parte en dirección noreste. En Edermünde-Grifte, el río desemboca en el río Fulda. A lo largo del Eder se encuentra la ruta ciclista de 180 km Ederauenradweg.
