Mit ihren 177 km ist die Eder der längste Nebenfluss der Fulda. Die Eder entspringt am Ederkopf im Rothaargebirge und fließt meist in nordöstlicher Richtung. In Edermünde-Grifte mündet der Fluss in die Fulda. Der 180 km lange Ederauenradweg verläuft entlang der Eder.
