Le Borussia VfL Mönchengladbach est un club allemand de football, basé à Mönchengladbach en Rhénanie-du-Nord-Westphalie. Il est l'un des clubs les plus connus et les plus titrés du championnat allemand professionnel tel qu'il a été fondé en 1963. Le club a remporté 5 titres de champion en 1970, 1971, 1975, 1976 et 1977. Le Borussia Mönchengladbach a été aussi le premier club de l'ère professionnelle à remporter le championnat allemand deux fois d'affilée . Le mot Borussia est la forme latinisée de Prusse, un nom qui est souvent donné aux clubs de l'ancien Royaume de Prusse.
