La Dortmunder U, également appelée tour U, est un gratte-ciel construit en 1926/1927 en tant que « cave de fermentation et de stockage » de la brasserie Dortmund Union, situé à la limite ouest de la ville de Dortmund. Le nom est dérivé du logo de l'entreprise, apposé en 1968 sur la tour principale et complètement restauré en 2008 : un « U » doré et éclairé, de neuf mètres de haut et à quatre faces, conçu par l'architecte Ernst Neufert.
