Sur cinq hectares dans le quartier de Sentrup, à proximité immédiate de l’Aasee, du zoo praticable par tous les temps et du musée d’histoire naturelle LWL, le musée en plein air Mühlenhof à Münster présente la culture agricole et artisanale de la région depuis quatre siècles. Environ 30 bâtiments historiques ont été déplacés de leur emplacement d’origine au musée de Münster en Westphalie ou y ont été reconstruits selon d’anciens modèles. Les intérieurs avec des collections historiques donnent une impression des modes de vie et des méthodes de travail des personnes qui vivaient autrefois ici.
