La piscine a été construite en 1959. Initialement, il était prévu pour le camping adjacent. En 1968, un système de chauffage au fioul a été installé pour chauffer l’eau. Lorsque de plus en plus de visiteurs d’un jour utilisaient également la piscine, un droit d’entrée était facturé. En raison des dérives de sable, il est devenu nécessaire de protéger le bassin contre la contamination au moyen d’un mur en planches.
