La piscina fu costruita nel 1959. Inizialmente era prevista per il campeggio adiacente. Nel 1968 fu installato un riscaldamento aolio per riscaldare l'acqua. Man mano che sempre più visitatori diurni utilizzavano la piscina, fu richiesto un biglietto d'ingresso. A causa di accumuli di sabbia, si rese necessario proteggere la piscina con un muro di legno contro le contaminazioni.
