Le tribunal de district de Kappeln était jusqu'au 31 mars 2007 un tribunal de la juridiction ordinaire et l'un des cinq tribunaux de district dans le district du tribunal régional de Flensburg.
Le siège du tribunal était à Kappeln sur la Schlei. Dans l'ancien district du tribunal de district de Kappeln, environ 35 000 habitants vivent et environ 20 avocats et avocates étaient autorisés, dont environ la moitié sont également notaires.
