La marque postale Zweiburgenblick dans la vallée de la Werra a été émise le 3 février 2011 par le ministère fédéral des Finances. Elle représente le Zweiburgenblick près de Wendershausen s'inspirant d'une peinture historiciste d'Ernst Metz. La peinture s'intitule « Sur l'ancienne route postale Mühlhausen-Cassel au Ludwigstein en 1796 ».
Depuis le site dans la vallée de la Werra près de Wendershausen, deux châteaux peuvent être vus. À gauche se trouve le château de Hanstein, des chevaliers bandits de Hanstein, et à droite, en face, le château de Ludwigstein. Ce dernier a été construit par les landgraves de Thuringe pour contenir les chevaliers bandits.
