La bataille de Rossbach, pendant la guerre de Sept Ans, a lieu près du village de Rossbach dans la commune saxonne de Braunsbedra , le 5 novembre 1757. Elle oppose l'armée prussienne du roi Frédéric II aux troupes franco-impériales du roi Louis XV de France et de la reine de Bohême et de Hongrie Marie-Thérèse d'Autriche.
Malgré un avantage numérique important , l'armée franco-impériale commandée par le prince de Soubise, Charles de Rohan, est défaite, notamment en raison de la charge de la cavalerie prussienne dirigée par le général von Seydlitz.
