Juste à l'est de la station, la Bundesautobahn 9 est parallèle à celle-ci, la séparant du centre historique du quartier. À l'ouest de la station se trouve un lotissement construit pour les travailleurs de l'atelier de réparation Munich-Freimann. Plus à l'ouest se trouve la zone industrielle et commerciale Freimanner Hölzl, qui abrite également la salle d'événements Zénith et le MOC Veranstaltungscenter.
Entre les stations Freimann et Studentenstadt, il y a l'A 9, le périphérique nord et le Frankfurter Ring. En quittant la ville, en traversant la Heidemannstraße sur la Heidemannbrücke, on atteint la station Kieferngarten.
