Le château de Fischberg était une fortification médiévale élevée dans la vallée de Feldatal, sur une montagne exposée au-dessus des localités de Klings, Fischbach et Diedorf dans la Rhön avant en Thuringe.
Le site du château de la forteresse sommitale se trouve à 510 m au-dessus du niveau de la mer au sommet de la montagne Höhn, à environ 800 m au nord-est du centre du village de Klings et à 700 m au sud-ouest du village voisin de Diedorf. La limite cadastrale de ces localités passe sur la colline du château. La partie western de l'ensemble du château a déjà été détruite par l'exploitation de la carrière adjacente.
