Le château de Lichtenburg est un château Renaissance construit au 16e siècle à Prettin. Il se trouve à l'emplacement d'un ancien monastère et a été édifié comme résidence de veuves pour les électrices de Saxe.
La maison Lichtenbergk désignait un établissement principal de l'ordre des Antonites dans le cercle électoral près de Prettin. Son dernier précepteur Wolfgang Reissenbusch fréquentait souvent la maison de Luther. Comme les derniers moines antonites restants se sont ralliés à la Réforme en 1525, le monastère a été dissous. Certains moines ont reçu une rente viagère. À la maison des Antonites de Lichtenbergk, Martin Luther a rencontré pour la première fois en 1518 le chancelier saxon Georg Spalatin, qui lui a assuré le soutien de l'électeur saxon Frédéric le Sage pour ses efforts de réforme ecclésiastique.
