La gare de Dannenberg Ost est l'une des deux gares de Dannenberg et est classée dans la catégorie 7. Elle possède deux quais, mais dans le trafic planifié, une seule voie est utilisée.
Après la fermeture des lignes entre Dannenberg, Lüchow, Uelzen et Wittenberge, la gare a été démantelée. Aujourd'hui, bien que les deux quais existent encore, seul le quai principal est utilisé. La voie à côté mène à la station de chargement. Le bâtiment a été rénové en 2012 par la ville de Dannenberg et les établissements diaconaux de Wendland. Le JuniorBahnhof, une institution du district ecclésiastique de Lüchow-Dannenberg, vend des billets et gère un kiosque. La gare est occupée par un chef de gare.
