La Kaiserstraße est une route principale de Wuppertal et un tronçon d’environ 1,5 kilomètre de la Bundesstraße 228. Dans le quartier de Vohwinkel, elle part de l’ouest, où elle commence à l’intersection de la Kaiserplatz. Elle continue avec la B 228 sous le nom de Vohwinkeler Straße. Au nord, la Bahnstraße bifurque à la Kaiserplatz sous le nom de Bundesstraße 224 en direction de Vohwinkeler Bahnhof, et au sud, la Gräfrather Straße, également connue sous le nom de B 224. À l’est, elle se termine à Eugen-Langen-Straße. La B 228 traverse ensuite l’échangeur autoroutier de Sonnborner Kreuz en tant que route de Sonnborner Ufer.
