Le camp de prisonniers de guerre « Hoffnungsthal » était un camp de la Wehrmacht pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale à Rösrath près de Cologne. « Hoffnungsthal » était le nom officieux, dans le langage administratif, le camp était appelé « Détachement de travail 281 de la zone d’entraînement militaire de Wahn ».
Il y a un quartier de Rösrath appelé Hoffnungsthal, mais il est à quelques kilomètres. La Société historique de Rösrath considère donc que le fait de nommer le camp est du « cynisme nazi ».
