L’église Saint-Pancrace dans la ville d’Odenthal est l’un des plus anciens bâtiments religieux du Bergisches Land.
L’église a été construite au 11ème siècle en tant qu’église à nef unique pour remplacer une église en bois. Vers la fin du XIIe siècle, l’hospice a été transformé en une basilique à piliers romans à trois nefs avec une tour de quatre étages. Le chœur roman à l’abside semi-circulaire a été démoli en 1893-1894 afin d’étendre la nef de deux travées et d’ériger un transept avec chœur et abside semi-circulaire.
