L'aéroport de Cottbus-Nord est un ancien aérodrome militaire situé au nord-ouest de la ville de Cottbus. Établi dans les années 1920 pour un usage civil, il a été utilisé par la Wehrmacht, l'Armée rouge, la NVA et la Bundeswehr à partir des années 1930.
Les bâtiments de l'époque nazie sur l'aéroport de Cottbus ont été réutilisés après la Seconde Guerre mondiale, de nouveaux bâtiments ont été construits pendant la période de la RDA et ont également été utilisés après la réunification.
