El aeropuerto de Cottbus-Nord es un antiguo aeródromo militar en el noroeste de la ciudad de Cottbus. Construido para uso civil en la década de 1920, fue utilizado a partir de la década de 1930 por la Wehrmacht, el Ejército Rojo, la NVA y la Bundeswehr.
Las construcciones de la época nazi en el aeropuerto de Cottbus se siguieron utilizando después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, se erigieron nuevos edificios durante la época de la RDA y también se utilizaron después de la reunificación.
