Le monastère de Himmelpforten est un ancien monastère des ermites augustins situé à Hasserode, un quartier de Wernigerode.
Le monastère a été fondé en 1253 par les seigneurs de Hartesrode dans une vallée forestière protégée au nord-ouest de Hasserode. Ils ont choisi cet endroit car des frères de l'ordre des Wilhelmitens y résidaient déjà auparavant. Les Augustins se consacraient entre autres à l'élevage de poissons et même à la viticulture. Himmelpforten a été visité en 1516 par Martin Luther, où il a rencontré son frère d'ordre et ami, le vicaire général Johann von Staupitz. Il n'est pas prouvé qu'ils aient discuté du commerce des indulgences lors de cette rencontre. La réunion est commémorée par la pierre commémorative de Luther érigée en 1917.
