Le grand trésor de la cathédrale contient plus de 600 objets d'art, datant du 5ème au 18ème siècle, y compris une collection unique de textiles.[1] De nombreux objets très précieux sont d'origine byzantine, ayant été amenés à Halberstadt en 1205 par l'évêque Konrad von Krosigk qui avait participé au sac de Constantinople lors de la quatrième croisade.
