La bataille de Maxen eut lieu le 21 novembre 1759 à Maxen en Saxe , pendant la guerre de Sept Ans. L'armée prussienne fut totalement anéantie par l'armée autrichienne.
L'armée prussienne forte de 14 000 hommes commandés par le général Friedrich August von Finck, un des généraux de Frédéric II les plus capables, est envoyée à l'arrière des troupes autrichiennes, afin de couper les lignes de communication avec la Bohême. Mais Leopold Joseph von Daun profite de l'isolement de Finck, et l'encercle totalement avec des forces bien supérieures en nombre.
