Hainitz, en haut-sorabe Hajnicy, est un village qui appartient au noyau de la commune de Großpostwitz en Saxe.
Hainitz est situé au nord de Großpostwitz sur la Bundesstraße 96 dans les hauts plateaux de Lusace. Le village se compose de deux parties du village séparées par la Spree. L’ancien hameau agricole d’Alt-Hainitz se trouve à l’est de la route principale, au pied du Thromberg, haut de 431,9 m, sur une crête entre les bas du Cosuler Wasser et du Hainitzer Wasser, qui se jettent ici dans la Spree. À l’ouest d’Alt-Hainitz, dans la Spreeaue, se trouve la filature de lin avec les colonies ouvrières de Spreetal et Fabrikstraße.
