Le Ständehaus de Görlitz était le lieu de rencontre des États de la Haute-Lusace prussienne. Le bâtiment de trois étages, aux allures de château, a été inauguré en 1854 et sert de maison de retraite et de soins depuis 2000.
Le Ständehaus est situé dans le centre-ville. Au nord et au nord-est, le bâtiment est entouré d’un espace vert et du parc municipal voisin. Le long du côté est, sur lequel se trouve également le portail d’entrée, la rue Am Stadtpark coule du point de passage frontalier dans la Dr.-Kahlbaum-Allee. Une bonne vingtaine d’années après la construction de la Maison des États, le pont de Reichenberg sur la Neisse de Lusace a été construit à l’est de celle-ci et constitue ainsi un axe de circulation principal vers l’Oststadt de Görlitz.
