Johannisberg est un village de Hesse, en Allemagne. Il fait partie de la ville de Geisenheim dans le Rheingau, sur la rive droite du Rhin, à 6 m. S. de Rüdesheim par chemin de fer.
L’endroit est principalement célèbre pour le magnifique château, Schloss Johannisberg, qui couronne une colline surplombant la vallée du Rhin, et est entouré de vignobles produisant le célèbre vin Johannisberger. Le château, construit en 1757-1759 par les abbés de Fulda sur le site d’un monastère bénédictin fondé en 1090, fut légué, en 1808, par Napoléon au maréchal Kellermann. En 1816, il a été offert par François Ier d’Autriche au prince Metternich, en reconnaissance de ses services en tant que ministre autrichien des Affaires étrangères.
