La station de métro Bochum Rathaus est l'une des stations de croisement du tramway de Bochum. Elle relie ici la ligne de métro 35 qui se trouve dans le tunnel, la ligne III qui passe également dans un tunnel à cet endroit, et la ligne IV en surface, qui est desservie par les lignes de tramway 306 et 316 sur le tronçon BO Hbf–Rathaus. Ces lignes, tout comme le reste des transports publics à Bochum, sont exploitées par les tramways Bochum-Gelsenkirchener AG. De plus, il y a des correspondances avec de nombreuses lignes de bus.
