La synagogue de Hattingen était le bâtiment sacré de la communauté juive de Hattingen. Elle se trouvait au 8, Bahnhofstraße et a été détruite lors de la nuit de cristal en 1938.
Depuis environ 1810, la communauté juive de Hattingen célébrait ses cultes dans la maison Horstmann au 13, Große Weilstraße. En guise de remplacement pour ce lieu de prière, une nouvelle synagogue fut construite au début des années 1870 selon les plans d'un maçon de Hattingen. La cérémonie solennelle de la pose de la première pierre a eu lieu le 7 juin 1871 en présence du maire de Hattingen ainsi que du pasteur évangélique. La synagogue a été inaugurée le 13 septembre 1872.
