Le district, qui compte environ 3000 habitants et une superficie de 910 ha, se situe principalement dans la région de l'embouchure de la Ruwer et se compose des deux quartiers de Ruwer et d'Eitelsbach. Eitelsbach comprend les lieux d'habitation de Duisburgerhof et de Karthäuserhof, tandis que Ruwer comprend les lieux d'habitation de Hüsters-Mühle, Lambertys-Mühle et Wasserwerk Trier, ainsi que le moulin en roches de Ruwer. La zone de protection de la nature non habitée de Kenner Flur sur la Moselle fait également partie du district.
