Böddenstedt est un quartier de la commune de Suderburg dans la mairie de Suderburg, dans le district sud-ouest d'Uelzen, en Basse-Saxe. En 1991 et 2016, Böddenstedt a été l'un des gagnants du concours fédéral "Notre village a de l'avenir".
Böddenstedt est situé entre Hambourg et Hanovre, au cœur de la lande de Lunebourg. Le Stahlbach, qui se jette dans la Hardau près de Holxen, est alimenté par la Böddenstedter Aue qui prend sa source à Bahnsen et par le Wehrbach qui prend sa source dans la tourbière. Il traverse le village du sud au nord-est, a exploité un moulin à eau jusqu'en 1970 et est accompagné d'étangs à poissons et de zones de prairies et de pâturages plutôt plats. Plus au nord-ouest s'étend la réserve naturelle de Mönchsbruch de 398 ha.
