Le sommet du Hordtberg est facilement reconnaissable par deux mâts de transmission. Les deux entrées du sommet sont relativement calmes en termes de circulation. Le côté occidental serpente à travers une forêt, le côté oriental est plus ouvert. Au sommet, vous avez une vue magnifique sur la région de la Ruhr et le Hügelland de Hattingen (Elfringhauser Schweiz).
