De top van de Hordtberg is makkelijk te herkennen aan twee zendmasten. De beide opgangen naar de top zijn vrij rustig qua verkeer. De westelijke zijde slingert zich omhoog door een bos, de oostelijke zijde is opener van karakter. Op de top heb je een prachtig uitzicht over het Ruhrgebied en het Hattingen Hügelland (Elfringhauser Schweiz).
