Tudderen est un village qui constitue le chef-lieu de la commune allemande de Selfkant dans le Kreis Heinsberg en Rhénanie-du-Nord-Westphalie. Tudderen est l'un des villages les plus occidentaux d'Allemagne, après les villages voisins d'Isenbruch et de Millen. Il se trouve juste à la frontière avec les Pays-Bas, à moins d'un kilomètre du centre habité de Sittard. De 1949 à 1963, Tudderen, avec le reste de Selfkant, faisait partie des Pays-Bas sous le nom de 'Drostambt Tudderen'. Les liens avec Sittard remontent à bien plus longtemps. Le Selfkant faisait partie, entre autres, de Sittard, Susteren et Born pendant des siècles du duché de Gueldre. Cette région a été jusqu'en 1815 l'arrière-pays administratif de Sittard.
