Le bâtiment de la gare est un complexe symétrique avec une section centrale à pignon, qui compte deux étages complets et deux ailes latérales d’un étage avec avant-toit. En raison de l’ajout ultérieur d’une cabine en amont pour le répartiteur, cette conception originale a été perturbée. Avec la rénovation de la gare et la modernisation des chemins de fer de l’Odenwald en 2008, celle-ci a disparu, de sorte que l’aspect d’origine de la gare a été restauré.
