La Tuchfabrik Aachen AG était l'une des plus grandes entreprises textiles d'Aix-la-Chapelle. Elle a été fondée en 1859 par les entrepreneurs Alfred Ritz et Conrad Vogel à Aix-la-Chapelle, d'abord sous le nom de « Ritz & Vogel », et transférée en 1873 dans un nouveau complexe fabriqué selon les plans d'Otto Intze, situé sur la Charlottenstraße au bord du Beverbach dans le quartier de Frankenberger, qui appartenait encore à l'époque à la commune voisine de Burtscheid. En 1887, le complexe a été repris par les fabricants Siegmund Sternau et Albert Süskind, qui ont intégré leur usine de tissus « Süskind & Sternau », fondée dans les années 1870, et ont transformé la nouvelle entreprise globale en « Tuchfabrik Aachen AG » en 1897.
