Le fonds de soutien à l'art et à la culture du couple Kurt et Lilly Ernsting a été nommé d'après l'ancienne ferme scolaire « Alter Hof Herding » à Coesfeld-Lette. Il a été fondé en 1996. Son objectif est de promouvoir l'art et la culture dans la région de Coesfeld. Dans ses établissements créés à cet effet, musée du verre, ancienne grange, dépôt de verre et concert théâtre Coesfeld, il réalise la promotion des artistes visuels et de scène et de leurs œuvres.
