Heiligenzimmern est un quartier de Rosenfeld dans l’arrondissement de Zollernalbkeis. Le village compte 893 habitants et est situé à proximité de l’autoroute A 81 entre Stuttgart et le lac de Constance dans la vallée de Stunzach.
Heiligenzimmern est la seule commune de l’ancien arrondissement de Hechingen à avoir fusionné avec les communes de l’ancien arrondissement de Balingen dans le cadre de la réforme municipale. Au Moyen Âge, le nom du village était « Zimmern in Horgun » ou « Horgenzimmern » et fait référence à l’emplacement de l’établissement dans les basses terres de la vallée de Stunzach.
