Le Eggermühlenbach commence dans le quartier de Klein Borkern à Bippen. Avec un cours en direction nord-ouest, il atteint le château d'Eggermühlen, où il alimente les douves. Après avoir traversé le village de Kettenkamp, le Strautbach se sépare du Eggermühlenbach. Au Kleiner Merschdamm, dans la zone nord de la commune de Kettenkamp, le Eggermühlenbach se divise en deux bras. Le bras droit continue vers l'est et reçoit ici le Kohlriedenbach. Au nord de Nortrup, les deux bras du Eggermühlenbach se rejoignent à nouveau. Juste avant l'embouchure, le drains latéral gauche est traversé sur un talus. Dans le quartier de Wierup à Mimmelager, le Eggermühlenbach se jette dans la Kleine Hase.
