La Teverenerheide est une région naturelle particulière qui a été très prisée par les randonneurs ces dernières années. Il y a de nombreux marais dans la région qui confèrent un caractère particulier à cette ancienne carrière de gravier. Les nombreux bouleaux assurent une pré-transformation. Un endroit particulier est le Grotenrather Püttchen. Une petite source qui servait de point d'eau pour le bétail à cette époque.
