La Plaza de Cibeles est l'une des plus belles places de Madrid. Au milieu se dresse la Fuente de Cibeles dans toute sa gloire. Cette fontaine représente Cybèle, la déesse gréco-romaine de la nature, assise dans un char tiré par deux lions. La statue est devenue l'un des symboles de Madrid. Elle a été conçue par José Hermosilla et Ventura Rodríguez.
