Le château de Santa Pau, en La Garrotxa, date de l'époque féodale et est situé dans le beau milieu du village de Santa Pau, parfaitement intégré dans son tissu urbain. Le village est né presque adossé aux murs du château. C'est une œuvre déclarée bien culturel d'intérêt national. Son nom a donné lieu à la légende de la moniale Sainte Pau.
