Le vol Spanair 5022 était un vol intérieur espagnol assuré par la compagnie aérienne Spanair entre l'aéroport international de Madrid-Barajas et l'aéroport de Gran Canaria . Le 20 août 2008, l'avion opérant ce vol, un MD-82, s'écrase à côté de la piste 36L lors de la phase de décollage. Avec ses 154 victimes , cet accident est actuellement la cinquième plus grave catastrophe aérienne de l'histoire de l'Espagne ; la plus grave depuis 1983.
