La Vall de la Gavarresa est une zone géographique naturelle, cohésive autour des cours moyen et inférieur de la Riera Gavarresa. Elle est partiellement située dans les comarques du Bages et du Moianès et englobe, bien qu'elle ne soit pas définie administrativement, les municipalités de Santa Maria d'Oló, Avinyó, Artés, Calders et Monistrol de Calders. D'autres documents limitent la délimitation de la vallée aux seules municipalités d'Avinyó et d'Artés.
