Entrepierres est une commune française, située dans le département des Alpes-de-Haute-Provence en région Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. Son nom fait référence à sa géographie montagneuse, au bord de la Durance, entre Gap et Digne-les-Bains. Grande commune par sa taille , résultat de la fusion de trois communes, elle est petite par sa population. Comme beaucoup de communes alentour, elle a connu un exode rural important, et reste aujourd'hui axée sur des activités rurales : agriculture , tourisme notamment randonnées.
