Moustiers-Sainte-Marie est connue pour sa faïence. C'est une poterie spéciale. Les céramiques de Moustiers se caractérisent par leur décor en glaçure. Un moine de Faenza, en Italie, a enseigné à un potier local, Pierre Clérissy, le secret oriental de la fabrication de la céramique stannifère en 1668. Une tradition est née. La production réelle n'a commencé qu'en 1689 avec de la vaisselle blanc-bleu. Vers 1710, la décoration Berain apparaît. Les beaux jours sont arrivés.
