Baye [bεj] est une commune française, située dans le département du Finistère en région Bretagne.Baye est une commune appartenant à la communauté de communes du pays de Quimperlé . Avec une superficie de seulement 729 hectares, elle est la plus petite du secteur.Elle est attenante à Quimperlé à l'est, à Mellac au nord, à Moëlan-sur-Mer au sud et à Riec-sur-Bélon à l'ouest. Elle ne possède que des limites artificielles sauf avec Riec-sur-Bélon . D'un point de vue historique, elle appartient à la Cornouaille.
