Saint-Martial-de-Valette est une commune française située dans le département de la Dordogne, en région Nouvelle-Aquitaine.Dans le nord du département de la Dordogne, dans le Nontronnais et l'unité urbaine de Nontron, la commune de Saint-Martial-de-Valette est arrosée du nord-est au nord-ouest par le Bandiat — qui la sépare de Saint-Martin-le-Pin sur environ 500 mètres — et quelques petits affluents.
